Pokemon TCG Pocket has revealed its next expansion, and it's a big one: Ruler of the Skies (B4), out 30 July, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex. It's the digital game's turn to ride the Mega Evolution wave — and the first cards are now in the open.
Alongside the star, the reveal showed Mega Metagross ex and Mega Gallade ex, with Swanna ex and Dragonair appearing in the trailer. There are also two new systems coming with the set: deck sharing by code, and a guaranteed higher-rarity pull that triggers under the right conditions. Here's what's been shown.

Portal takeThe set's face, and a proper glass cannon. Stack Fire and Lightning Energy, then dump the lot with Mega Burst for 50 a pop — no ceiling, but you empty the tank doing it. A 180-HP Basic with no Weakness that hits this hard is exactly the card everyone's spending hourglasses on.

Portal takeThe grinder. Gatling Slug opens at 100 and climbs 10 for every Metal Energy you stack, so it only gets scarier the longer the game runs — and 230 HP on a Stage 2 is a wall. Slow to set up behind that heavy retreat, brutal once it's online.

Portal takeThe combo piece. Resonating Blade is a flat 100, but play any Supporter the same turn and it jumps to 150 for one Fighting and two Colorless — cheap, repeatable, and exactly the consistent damage Pocket decks are built on. Wally in the same set is no coincidence.

The rest of the early look at Ruler of the Skies — two more ex, a few key Basics, the new Supporters and the set's Stadium. Full stats will firm up as the complete list drops.
Start with the obvious: this is Mega Rayquaza ex's set. It leads the expansion, it fronts the new accessory art, and if you've been sitting on hourglasses, it's the immersive-art chase everyone's waiting to see. Around it, Mega Metagross ex and Mega Gallade ex give the set two more Mega ex lines — all three are broken down in full above — with Swanna ex, Dragonair and the new trainers rounding out the early look.
The two new features are the interesting part. Deck sharing lets you hand someone a code and have them import your exact deck — a small thing that makes borrowing a netdeck or helping a friend through an event far less painful. And a new pity mechanic means that, if certain conditions are met when you open a pack, your next pack from the same set is guaranteed to contain a ◆◆◆◆ (four-diamond) or higher card. Pocket has never had a safety net on pulls before, so that's a genuine shift — even if the fine print is still under wraps.
There's a calendar building around it, too: mid-August brings a Mega Houndoom ex Drop event and a Pachirisu Wonder Pick, and the Deluxe Pack ex set returns from mid- to late August. Plenty to grind toward once the set is live.
