Portal TCG · Set Reveal
The wait for a card here and a card there is over: the entire 76-card Storm Emeralda main set has been revealed in one go. It's the sixth Mega Evolution set, it lands in Japan on 31 July, and it's headlined by the card that started this whole mechanic back in 2015 — Mega Rayquaza ex. We get it in English as Delta Reign on 6 November.
There's a lot in 76 cards, so we're not going to pretend to walk you through every Combee. Instead we're doing the thing that actually matters on reveal day: the three Mega ex that anchor the set. What's interesting is that they're three completely different answers to the same question — what is a three-prize attacker for? One is a sledgehammer, one is a wall, and the famous one is made of glass. Here's all three in full — and if you want the lot, every card in the set is listed with its stats at the foot of this page.

Mega Rayquaza ex HP 280
AbilityChampion's Roar
When you play this Pokemon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may use this Ability. Look at the top 4 cards of your deck and attach a Basic Energy you find there to this Pokemon. Shuffle the remaining cards and put them on the bottom of your deck.
Storm Emeralda50x
This attack does 50 damage times the number of [R] and [L] Energy attached to all of your Pokemon in play.
- WeaknessLightning (x2)
- ResistanceFighting (-30)
- RetreatCC
Portal takeThe face of the set, and the gamble of it. It accelerates its own Energy the turn it hits the bench, then scales with every Fire and Lightning Energy across your whole board — so the ceiling is genuinely uncapped in the right deck. The catch is right there in the HP: 280 is the lowest of the three Megas, on a card that still gives up three prizes. It's a scaling glass cannon in a format full of 320+ HP walls. When it's good it's spectacular; when it's bad it gets one-shot before it fires. That's the most interesting card in the set precisely because nobody's sure which one it'll be.

Mega Golurk ex HP 350
AbilityPower Limiter
This Pokemon can't attack unless you have 10 cards or more in your hand.
Goliath Punch300
This Pokemon does 30 damage to itself.
- WeaknessDarkness (x2)
- ResistanceFighting (-30)
- RetreatCCC
Portal takeThe sledgehammer. 300 damage for two Psychic Energy is an absurd rate — that one-shots basically anything in the format — and it sits behind 350 HP, the fattest number in the set. The whole card is balanced by one line: it can't attack unless you're holding ten or more cards. So it's not a fair-fight beater, it's a deckbuilding puzzle — build a hand you can keep stocked and it hits like nothing else; run dry for a turn and it just stands there. A very clever, very swingy design.

Mega Golisopod ex HP 340
Finishing Blow60+
This attack does 160 more damage if your opponent's Active Pokemon has any damage counters on it.
Quatro Hold160
During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokemon can't Retreat.
- WeaknessFire (x2)
- ResistanceNone
- RetreatCCC
Portal takeThe wall with a mean streak. 340 HP makes it a nightmare to shift, and its cheap attack is a proper closer: 220 damage for a single Grass Energy the moment the target already has damage on it. Pair that with Quatro Hold — 160 that traps the Defender in the Active spot — and you've got a Pokemon that pins something down, then finishes it on the cheap. Less flashy than the other two, probably the most reliable of the three to actually pilot.
The Legendary Stadiums: the set's split-card first
Storm Emeralda introduces a card type the game has never had — the split Stadium. Three ‘Legendary’ Stadiums each arrive as two halves that only work as a pair: play both and they count as a single Stadium, their artwork joining into one wide panorama. It’s why a 76-card set lists three Stadiums but runs to six Stadium numbers (071–076), and after the Megas it’s the most interesting new idea in the set.

Before the Megas, the one set-wide mechanic worth knowing about: Storm Emeralda introduces split “Legendary” Stadium cards. Each is printed as two halves that share a name, so you can only ever run two complete copies — a deliberate nod to the old LEGEND cards from HeartGold & SoulSilver. They're not just collector bait, either: Kyogre and Groudon both have attacks that go from fine to frightening the moment a Legendary Stadium is on the board (Groudon's jumps by a flat 170). If a deck out of this set breaks through, there's a decent chance one of these Stadiums is the reason.
Now the headline. Mega Rayquaza ex is the face of the set — its attack is literally named Storm Emeralda — and it's the one most people will chase. But read the numbers and there's a genuine tension: at 280 HP it's the lowest of the three Megas by some way, on a card that still hands over three prizes when it falls. It's a scaling glass cannon in a format built around 320+ HP bruisers. Whether that's brave or doomed is exactly the sort of thing the Japanese metagame will settle in the fourteen weeks before an English pack is opened.
Which is the whole reason to watch a JP set land early. Everything on this page is Japanese, and English print runs are bigger and cheaper — but the shape carries over. The cards Japan decides are worth building around in July are the cards worth pulling out of your first Delta Reign box in November.
If you want to watch that happen with your own cards rather than someone else's stream, the Japanese box is the cheap way in.
Card text translated from the Japanese Storm Emeralda (M6) reveals, 23 July 2026, with thanks to the translators credited by PokéBeach. Japanese wording is provisional until the set is in hand, and English text is often reworded in localisation — treat the rulings here as the shape of the card, not the final template. Card numbers are read off the scans, not a set list.
Every card in Storm Emeralda
All 76 main-set cards, grouped by type — stats, attacks and costs in full. Effect text is paraphrased for quick reference; provisional until the English print, and the three split “Legendary” Stadiums are two cards each (which is what takes the count to 76).
