A few weeks ago we ranked Storm Emeralda's ten most valuable cards. The Japanese Mega Evolution set had just landed and the gold Rayquaza was flying. One month on, we pulled the numbers again — and it's a more interesting picture than a simple cooldown.
Using Pulse TCG's live market data and 30-day movement, here's how the set actually moved. The headline: the gold Mega Rayquaza chase softened hard (down 20%), but the special-art and the mid-tier held firm or climbed. The top of the market let out air; the middle got stronger.

Still comfortably the set's #1 by a mile — but the top of the market is where the air came out. Only a handful sold last month, so it's thin and volatile.
One month on, the read is clear: Storm Emeralda's ceiling cooled while its floor firmed up. That's a healthy set finding its level, not one falling apart — the cards with real collector demand (the special-art Rayquaza, Raikou, the fan-favourite arts) held or rose, while the thin, top-heavy gold took the volatility.
If you're buying, the mid-tier is where the strength is. If you're holding the gold, it's still #1 by a distance — just expect it to swing on low volume.
