30th Celebration (M6a) is Pokemon's Japanese anniversary set, and it made history as the first set to launch worldwide on the same day, 16 September 2026. Built around a day-and-night theme, every card in it is foil, and it stacks three chase tiers on top of each other: the Special Art Rare ex cards, the brand-new Futuristic Rare Mewtwo and Mew by YOSHIROTTEN, and a 30-card Classic Collection of gold-bordered reprints of hobby classics.
We are only a week in, so nothing has settled. We pulled the current market numbers from PriceCharting, converted them to GBP, and ranked the ten most valuable cards. Expect this board to keep moving, but the early shape is already clear: nostalgia gold and special-art ex are running the show.
One note before the countdown. We have left the three RGB Secret Mews out of this ten. They sit on another planet, thousands of pounds each, and we gave them their own writeup. This is the attainable chase, from a cosmos Pikachu just over £40 up to a reborn Crystal Lugia at nearly £180.

Mitsuhiro Arita's classic cosmos-holo Pikachu, all cracked-ice sparkle, gets the gold-border reprint treatment. At just over £41 it is the most affordable card on the list and a lovely, attainable way into the set's nostalgia run.

This Special Art Rare holds just under £50 a week in and is an easy favourite for anyone who leans into the spooky side of the roster.
8. Magikarp, Classic Collection

Shinji Kanda's Magikarp leaps up a waterfall over a dense cosmos-holo background, one of those cards that looks far more expensive than it is. At over £51 it is the cheapest gold reprint here and, for many, the nicest.
7. Mew ex, Special Art Rare

£71.03PriceChartingOne of the prettiest cards in the set. Kuroimori paints Mew drifting through a golden, Klimt-like tangle of flowers and leaves, all gold leaf and tiny blossoms. This Special Art Rare holds £71 and is the sort of card collectors buy to keep rather than flip. A quiet stunner.
6. Mewtwo ex, Futuristic Rare

3. Charizard, Classic Collection

2. Pikachu ex, Special Art Rare (Night)

This is the legendary Crystal Type Lugia, first seen in the e-Card era, reborn as a gold-sparkle Classic Collection reprint with Naoyo Kimura's original art. Nostalgia does the heavy lifting here: it clears £178 a week in and sits clear at the top of the board.
A week in, the Japanese 30th splits neatly in two: the modern special-art and Futuristic Rare ex cards, and a run of gold Classic Collection reprints that trade on pure nostalgia, the Crystal Lugia and the Base Set Charizard chief among them. It is a genuinely fun set to chase, and the prices will look very different in a month.
