Japan's next big set has a name and a date: MEGA x MEGA Parade lands on 19 February, and it's headlined by the two brand-new Mega Evolutions everyone's been waiting for, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. The set's name is a nod to the pair.

This is Japan's annual High Class Pack, the premium end-of-year compilation. Packs are bigger and pricier: 10 cards for 550 yen (versus the usual five for 200), each with a guaranteed hit. Most of the main set is reprints from the past year, but the real draw is always the huge run of new alternate-art secret rares.

One note on timing: High Class Packs usually land in November or December, but this one was pushed to February, presumably to make room for the worldwide 30th Celebration launch in September. We should learn the full card list in the autumn.

It caps a stacked Mega-era run in Japan: a Special Deck Set (Mega Feraligatr ex, Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Gengar ex) on 13 November, Aura Seeker starring Mega Lucario Z ex on 27 November, then MEGA x MEGA Parade on 19 February. No English release has been announced yet, but High Class sets are always worth importing for the alt-art secret rares.
