Pokemon TCG Pocket's annual special set is back, and this year it is all Mega. Deluxe Pack Mega (B4b) will be available in Pocket from 30 September through 29 October, following the same playbook as last year's Deluxe Pack ex and the High Class Pack sets.
That means it is mostly a greatest-hits run: reprints from the last twelve months, from October 2025's Mega Rising right through to July 2026's Ruler of the Skies, with some new alternate-art reprints and parallel foil cards layered on top. Every pack holds four cards, and at least one of them is guaranteed to be four-diamond rarity or higher. If you missed a Mega ex first time round, this is the catch-up window.
Three of the new arts have been shown so far, and they are a good spread of what the set is going for: a full-art Ancient Roaring Moon, a properly cute Fidough illustration rare, and a Charmeleon that is clearly waving at a certain Mega Charizard. Full breakdowns below.

Portal takeThe disruption piece. Ancient Roar is a free gust the moment Roaring Moon hits your Bench, dragging whatever your opponent had set up into the back row. Wind of Darkness is a flat 70 for three, nothing flashy, but a 100 HP Basic that forces a switch on entry is the kind of tempo card Pocket decks lean on. New full art, three-diamond.

Portal takeThe one everyone will chase for the art. Puppy Pile scales with every Fidough you can show, in play or in hand, so a full playset turns 40 HP of fluff into a real hit. Whisker's illustration rare, Rockruff and Lillipup mid-zoomies included, is the set's cute card, and it is a lovely one.

Portal takeThe ramp. Ignition pulls a Fire Energy straight from the Energy Zone onto your Active the turn you evolve, which is a free turn of acceleration on the way to the Mega Charizard line this set is built around. Slash for 40 keeps it honest in the meantime. A two-diamond you will actually want two of.
The bigger news is what comes after the set. At the end of October, right before the first C-block expansion, Pocket rolls out a batch of app updates. A new community decks feature lets you search decks other players have made public and build them if you own the cards. You will be able to rent decks built from the newest booster packs and use them an unlimited number of times in both Solo and Versus. And Step-up Battles are being reworked into a solo ladder where the difficulty climbs as you clear stages, with the old format retired.
So the timeline reads: Deluxe Pack Mega from 30 September, the app overhaul at the end of October, then the C block. A month of Mega reprints with a guaranteed hit in every pack is a very easy sell for anyone who fell behind, and the new alt arts give the completionists something fresh to chase.
